ReflectionBy Lady HarkenThe first thing Leon could think about what he saw in front of him was that he could have just as well been looking into a mirror. Whatever it was it looked exactly like him. The face, the build... everything was him, right down to the smallest detail. The only odd thing about this copy of him was that its color was slightly blue, and it gave an unnatural glow. It certainly was not him; something about it was just too strange. Also, Leon sure didn't remember having an identical twin. The copy of him didn't let him stand there and wonder about the situation much longer. Leon got caught by surprise when the doppelganger threw a knife at him, and he barely managed to block it. A doppelganger, yes; the blond knight realized his "twin" had to be a doppelganger. Things like that were mere folklore, or so he thought, but here this thing was. His shape and size - and it had his powers as well, as he soon came to realize. Leon quickly bolted away from the door and ran to the other side of the room before his copy attacked again. It was wielding a whip similar to his, and certainly seemed that it had all his skills, too. It didn't talk, but then again, if Leon's idea of it was correct, it was a mere monster. A monster who fights like me, Leon thought as he ran around the room, still trying to figure out what he could do to stop the thing. There was another door on the side of the room, and he stopped by it and tried it, then swore. He was out of luck; the door was firmly locked and he didn't exactly have time to try breaking it at the moment. But how do you defeat... yourself? The thing was quite obviously determined on attacking him. It followed him around the room, its speed a little faster than his, but it zigzagged, as it couldn't apparently predict where he was going. Leon quickly jumped to the side to evade another attack, then lashed at the copy with his whip, only to find out that it did indeed also block and evade just as skillfully as he did. Leon frowned and blocked another attack, then tried to use a whip combo at the doppelganger. It did work, although the thing managed to block a few hits. It did still look like he had managed to hurt it, and he ran away from it to think of his next move. He would have to get rid of the copy somehow if he wished to try breaking the door that led on. Going back where he had come from didn't seem like an option, as he had searched the area thoroughly and found himself trapped in the lower floor until he figured another way out. The doppelganger caught up with him and threw something that resembled Holy Water at him; Leon jumped backwards quickly, not wishing to try how similar the creature's attack was to his own. Sure, using the water himself didn't hurt him, but by the copy... He wasn't willing to even try. "Damn you," he muttered, quickly tossing a dagger at his opponent. The doppelganger tried to block but was just a bit too late. Leon saw his chance and jumped at the copy, unleashing another whip combo at it. It worked. The doppelganger fell for a moment; Leon took the chance to get another attack in, then retreated before the copy got back to its feet and countered. Another moment of the battle later Leon had to admit the doppelganger was as fast as he was. It recovered from any attacks he made just as quickly as he did. It carried weapons similar although not exactly like his, and its attack patterns were quite familiar. The only weakness Leon found was its inability to predict his movements. Not much of an advantage, but one I certainly can take advantage of, he thought while running from his opponent again. The most effective way to battle seemed to be staying away from it, then letting it come closer and try using some attack it wasn't expecting. That meant he couldn't really use one type of attack too much but had to improvise all the time. He also realized his own weakness quickly. While he felt himself growing weary as the fight dragged on, the doppelganger wasn't showing signs of getting tired at the same rate. He was smarter than the copy, that was for sure, but he had been fighting for hours around the castle and this thing was just now fighting him. Unless I take it down soon, this won't end well, he admitted bitterly. He knew his own strengths, but if this copy wouldn't get tired when he eventually would... He didn't want to think about it. He knew how people said his abilities were second to none, but if he was facing himself here, what did that mean? It certainly meant his current opponent was a quite fair match to him, and he had to quickly block another attack, one that his hadn't expected this time. The copy was apparently learning quickly, and it was also varying its attacks now. Leon ran away from it to buy himself another moment to try and come up with something. The doppelganger threw something at him, and Leon quickly evaded the magical flames that hit the floor. He tossed another dagger at the thing and ran further away. He stopped behind one of the four pillars that surrounded the open center of the room where a small stream flowed through the area. The fact that the room was like that, going around that area, was at least somewhat of an advantage in trying to evade his opponent's attacks. The doppelganger ran after him; Leon took a step back and sniped at his opponent when it made it to the other side of the pillar. It worked. The doppelganger fell to its knees for a moment, and Leon jumped at his opponent, unleashing another whip combo attack at it. The copy appeared to be badly injured by the attack, but it still managed to get back up, and Leon took the opportunity to run to the other side of the room. He figured it would learn from getting ambushed once, but he decided to take his chances when he reached the far end of the room. He had to; the battle had taken too long already, and he was too tired to run from the doppelganger for much longer. The copy followed him; it stopped for a second to throw a knife at him, which Leon blocked, and then ran around the corner. Leon attacked on that moment. His copy blocked a few hits, took a couple of slashes - and then blocked another hit. Leon gritted his teeth and prepared to run, but the doppelganger suddenly jumped at him, using some dash attack he hadn't seen it use earlier. He tried to block but was too late; it knocked him off balance and he fell. He tried to get up but couldn't anymore; he was too tired and had taken too much damage himself. This is the end, then. I lost - to myself. I'm sorry, Sara... Leon closed his eyes as the doppelganger came closer. He was a knight and had seen enough death around him, and he knew it could happen even to the best fighters. Maybe what he had been told was right; that there was no way no one could ever beat the master of the castle. He regretted for not even getting that far. The doppelganger stopped next to him and picked up Leon's whip. It looked at the weapon for a moment, then just dropped it to the side, uninterested. Leon sighed and made one more attempt to get up, maybe to get away, but this time the doppelganger caught his hands and tied his wrists with its own whip. Leon tried to fight, but he was too exhausted. He mumbled a curse, then just gave up hoped that the copy him would finish things quickly. He heard the thing kneeling by him. It didn't talk; Leon didn't remember it saying a word during the whole fight and figured it couldn't talk. Leon opened his eyes a little and looked at the doppelganger; it looked back at him, studying him with an odd look in its eyes. It then leaned down and kissed him. Leon froze; he then blinked and tried to get away, but it had been some time since he had kissed anyone. Just great, he thought exhaustedly. So now what... I like myself like that? The idea was ridiculous, but all things considered, Leon didn't really care. He was about to die here, and if this copy of his wanted to fool around... It might have bought him some time. This could have of course been just a goodbye kiss, and he would die now, but it wasn't like things could really get any worse. The doppelganger broke the kiss. Leon studied it somewhat curiously, wondering how exactly it was going to kill him. It didn't seem to be in a hurry, though. It ran its fingers through Leon's hair, as if to study the one whose copy it was a little more closely. It then moved its hand lower to caress Leon's face, causing the knight to start getting annoyed. "Come on, you bastard," he mumbled. "If you're going to finish me... do it already..." The copy paused what it was doing and looked at him then shook its head and smiled a little. Leon looked back at it, puzzled. He wondered what reason could the thing have to let him live - unless of course it needed to study his closer to know all of his abilities, or something. That could be it, he told himself; the copy's weapons hadn't been perfectly like his, after all. Why it would be interested in such details was something he couldn't figure out, though. He had lost already; didn't it mean the fight was over? Unless of course... Leon closed his eyes for a moment. He felt the doppelganger's hands on his body and was starting to reconsider his own silly thoughts earlier. Myself? Why would I... He opened his eyes and stared at his copy, realizing that if it really acted like him... I am a knight, but I don't enjoy killing people. Thus... This doppelganger doesn't find killing a pleasing option, either? But what does it want from me then? What could I want from myself? His thoughts were interrupted as the doppelganger leaned in to kiss him again. The kiss was more passionate this time, much more intense than before. Leon felt somewhat sickened by the idea of what was a mere monster kissing him, but the monster did look exactly like him... What am I thinking? So, do I really find myself attractive? Is that what the doppelganger is after? Good God... The doppelganger moved away after a moment and leaned closer again to study his clothes. Leon struggled to free his hands but failed. He gave up and watched, both sickened and fascinated at the same time, as the copy of him worked on his belts. The creature managed to push some of his clothes aside after a while, but it wasn't obviously fully aware of how to remove such garments, so it just moved lower and started to work on opening Leon's pants. "Hey now..." Leon objected and tried to sit up. He was feeling weak, but he had to at least try stopping the copy of himself before it did - something. He wasn't exactly sure of what yet, although he could guess. His protests were ignored as the copy finished what it had been doing. It placed its hand over Leon's crotch and looked at him, grinning slightly. Leon stared back at the doppelganger, not exactly sure what he should have been thinking. He squirmed a little in an attempt to move away but failed to free himself once more and had to just settle to glaring at the monster. Except he's... It is kind of pretty for a monster, Leon thought. Oh hell, no... The monster occupied itself by caressing him, its fingers moving on his skin, and Leon noted that it felt colder than a human's touch. The touch was however enough to make his exhausted body respond in a way that he didn't exactly want to respond right now. He was turning hard under the creature's touch, and there was nothing he could have done. The doppelganger moved to kiss him again then sat next to his legs and leaned down, taking Leon's half-erect sex into his mouth. Leon winced; it was cold, certainly different from what he had ever felt before. The copy was still rather skillful, and the knight had to wonder where exactly it was getting that skill. He didn't remember being too good at what the copy was doing to him. "Stop that," he ordered and tried to move away again. The doppelganger wasn't obviously listening but just continued what it was doing, and Leon gritted his teeth, suddenly having to try convincing himself he didn't like what the creature was doing to him. Its tongue was somehow cold, but the way it licked on his erection made him squirm involuntarily. "I said stop," he repeated, hoping to sound determined. He tried to move into a position where he could have kicked the creature, but he only managed to turn a little and press himself against the copy of him. "Stop, damn you..." Either the thing wasn't listening, or then, Leon admitted, it was also completely possible that it was deaf or didn't understand him. He struggled but couldn't improve his current position; meanwhile, the doppelganger sucked on the tip of his erection, making Leon grit his teeth. He had to remind himself he wasn't supposed to enjoy it, although that notion came too late since he already was enjoying it. Gods no, I don't... I can't... He frowned and concentrated all he got on freeing his hands, but what the doppelganger was doing proved to be a greater distraction than he would have wanted to admit. What's it going to do anyway now, rape me? He panicked a little, then just lay still and tried to clear his thoughts. He sighed and closed his eyes. If the doppelganger was 'him'... It wouldn't be like him to take anyone by force. He couldn't be sure since he couldn't know what the creature was thinking, but it wasn't like he could have gotten away. He bit his lip suddenly to keep himself quiet. He could have stubbornly kept telling himself he didn't like it, but he did. What a fine way to die, this is. He almost laughed at his thoughts, then squirmed a little. The doppelganger raised its head and looked at him, giving him a strange smile. "Now what?" Leon mumbled, looking back at the thing as the doppelganger moved a little closer. It then pressed a quick kiss on his lips and stared at him for a moment. It then frowned, like something had been wrong, and moved to remove Leon's pants completely. "Isn't that enough already?" the knight asked, pretty much convinced now that his words were useless. He just couldn't lie there silently. "What do you want? You could've killed me already, but-" He didn't get to finish what he was saying as the doppelganger leaned in to kiss him again gently. It then knelt by him and ran its fingers over his chest. It then changed or shifted somehow; Leon blinked, and found the copy of him dressed similarly to him now - which of course meant that half of its clothes were missing. It grinned to him then climbed onto his lap, and while he could only stare at it dumbfounded, the doppelganger carefully took his sex inside itself. "Gah-!!" Leon tried to sit up and struggle, but the copy him pushed him back down. It smiled at him, then started moving slowly. Leon writhed, not sure if he was trying to get away from it or press himself more into it. How the doppelganger was doing what it was doing, he had no idea. All Leon knew was that it felt rather good. No, damn it, you can't let this happen... He scolded himself and struggled more. He had been lying still for long enough for his strength to return somewhat, but he had to admit that he was currently horribly distracted. He looked at the copy, finding the sight more captivating that he could have imagined. The doppelganger moved in a steady rhythm, and it obviously knew what it was doing. Leon stared at it, then slapped a hand over his mouth to keep himself from making any sounds. He had to admit that he was enjoying it. It had been too long since he had been with anyone. He gave up trying to get away eventually and let the copy do what it wanted. It felt strange to look at something that looked exactly like himself. Leon thought that the scene must have looked quite perverted, but he didn't care anymore. The doppelganger was quite a beautiful sight, and Leon found himself laughing because of the sheer idea of what was happening. He lowered his hands, leaning on the elbow of his right hand as he watched the creature. "Damn you little..." He mumbled, then grinned at the thing. The copy grinned back, moving on his lap so perfectly, like it had known exactly what Leon liked in sex. The knight considered that idea for a second, but was too distracted to properly realize that it might have been the case. He felt himself reaching his limit and closed his eyes, crying out softly as he came. He felt the doppelganger's body tensing, and it then slipped from his lap, falling next to him. Leon closed his eyes, his mind only barely registering the fact that the whip that has been binding his wrists had vanished at some point. Leon lay still for a while, trying to calm his breathing. He then suddenly raised his hand and slapped himself, just to check that he was still awake. This certainly was not the time to fall asleep, although he was quite spent after what had just happened. He glanced to his side and realized that the doppelganger lay by his side, or, half on top of him still. It was silent like it had been sleeping or rather, fainted. He pushed it away then crawled to where his pants were. His whip lay there as well and he grabbed it, then pulled his pants back on. He kept an eye on the copy while he adjusted his clothes; he then poked it carefully with the whip. I'm not that pathetic after sex... Or am I? He studied the doppelganger and came to the conclusion that it was very much out of it. He looked it for another moment, then raised the whip to kill it. Something held his hand, however. He remembered thinking earlier how he didn't like killing, and as a knight, he couldn't just attack someone helpless. Even if that someone was a mere monster, not that it really looked like one. Finally Leon just put his weapon away. He leaned down and picked the doppelganger up with some difficulty. He then just dumped it into the watery area in the middle of the room and turned away, not interested in looking what happened to it. He was still alive, and he had to go on, for Sara. Although, a little visit to Rinaldo's shop for some potions sounded quite good at the moment.
END.
