Too Much InfoBy Lady HarkenThe expression on Misao's face was often quite a cheerful one, but there was something extra happy about it this morning, and Kouyou raised an eyebrow as he watched Misao walk into the Alvis cafeteria where he was working to help distribute food. Most of the Wadatsumi Island facilities were starting to be in working order, but a lot of things, especially housing wise, still needed work, and currently the easiest way to take care of all the new residents was to use the L- and R-boat cafeterias for food. "Good morning," Misao called to him as he stepped into the line behind a couple of civilians. Kouyou nodded to his direction and continued his work. The Srinagar civilians didn't mind either of the two of them, at least - as far as they knew, they were pilots from Tatsumiyajima, and rumor had it Misao was actually an Esperanto who could talk to the Eurus types. Esperanto, indeed. Kouyou gave Misao a sideways glance before concentrating on his task again. The line moved at a good pace, and Misao made it to him after a moment. "Hey. You were gone when I woke up," he complained as he took the offered tray with assorted food items Kouyou was handing out. "Apologies," Kouyou calmly replied. "I signed up to work here, though, remember? This means I need to be here before they open for breakfast. Move along, there's other people here. I need to eat too, so I'll join you in a moment." A little while later he picked up a tray with breakfast for himself and moved towards the tables, finding Misao standing by the wall. "You didn't have to wait for me, you know," Kouyou pointed out, making to a table where a couple of his old friends sat. Sakura and Maya were quietly discussing something, and Kenji at the other end of the table was busy talking about what sounded like medical details with Dr. Toumi. Miwa, who also sat by the same table, looked at the two of them and smiled. "Morning!" She greeted them as they sat down next to her. "Did you sleep well? You look like you did." "You better have," Sakura cut in. "Kenji says you sometimes forget to sleep, Kouyou. Your body still needs it, you know, so you need to take better care of yourself. Sure, with everything that needs to be done around this island, we need all the help we can get, but don't overwork yourself, you hear?" Kouyou ate a bit of his breakfast. "Mmm. I'll keep that in mind." He conceded. "To protect everyone, I'm trying to do anything I can." "Overworking is still bad," Sakura scolded him. "At least your little friend here seems to have had enough sleep. Or is it just that he always has that stupid smile on his face? Could be." "Oh, but I had an amazing dream last night!" Misao explained. "Wanna hear about it?" Miwa nodded; Kouyou looked up from his breakfast, not appearing very impressed. "Let me guess, Kurusu," he commented. "You were outside, and above you was the vastness of the blue sky. It was beautiful." "Yeah! Exactly that!" Misao replied with a delighted look on his face. "Wait a minute. Hey," he then added, leaning back a little. "How'd you know anyway? Completely unfair, I wanted to tell them myself," he complained, his expression turning into a pouty look. "You cheater, you took a look into my mind last night, didn't you? I'm not sleeping in your bed again if you do that." Kouyou gave him a blank stare. "I definitely did not look into your mind. I just know you better. It was a calculated guess." Sakura looked at Misao curiously. "He just might know you. Not very unexpected when it comes to you, but I have to say I'm a little surprised. I didn't know your kind has dreams." "I do have dreams!" Misao replied. "Sometimes. Didn't use to have so many until recently. I don't think Festum usually do, though, it might just be a core thing. I'm not sure, I'd have to ask the other cores, but none are awake right now." "But why were you sleeping in Kouyou's bed last night?" Miwa inquired with a curious look on her face. Misao turned to look at her with a wide smile. "Oh that's because we had se-" He didn't get to finish, as Kouyou was quick to react and promptly slapped his hand over Misao's mouth before he said it. "A sleepover," Kouyou corrected, right in time when both Maya and Sakura looked like they were about to smack Misao for saying it in front of Miwa. Miwa nodded. "Ooohh. Sleepovers are fun," she said. Misao blinked and looked confused; Sakura, Maya and Kouyou just all gave him a bit of a glare, and Kouyou sighed. Misao was getting a hang of the acting like a human thing, certainly, but there sure was still plenty of things he needed to learn.
