Midnight

The room was mostly silent, counting out the sound of quiet breathing on his side. Tatsuya opened his eyes reluctantly and made a reality check. He was in his bed, in the bedroom, it was dark and probably in the middle of the night. Also, Allan was right there beside him. That was plenty, really.

But that dream he had woken up from was just so upsetting somehow, and he crawled to the side and pressed his head against Allan's chest then listened to his heart beating. On and on an on, steady and calming, and he closed his eyes again, relaxed and curled up. It had been a dream and it was irrelevant, no matter how uncomfortable he felt.

Allan stirred a little. "Tatsuya?" He whispered and petted his partner's hair a little while wrapping his other arm around his lover's waist. "Is something wrong?"

"No," Tatsuya replied, for some reason contented by the fact that Allan had woken up. Everything was all right now, and he just listened to Allan's heartbeat and let the man run his fingers through his hair. "Yes. No."

"Make up your mind, hmm?" Allan said with a smile, turning his head to the side and kissing Tatsuya's hair. "Can't sleep?"

"Just a dream," Tatsuya told him. "Stupid dream."

Allan caressed his cheek. "Want to talk about it?"

"It was just a pointless dream..." Tatsuya trailed off. He yawned, feeling tired. Being in Allan's arms made him feel safe and warm, and sleep threatened to take over again.

"Okay," Allan whispered, planted another kiss on the mess of hair that was all over his shoulder then turned his head and let it sink into the pillow. "Sleep then and have happy dreams of gunpla."

There was a little bit of hesitation, then Tatsuya searched around until he found Allan's hand from his hip and gripped it tight. "Stupid dream," he muttered. "Such a silly dream where I had high fever and was stuck in bed, and you were so worried that you were crying." He took a pause. "I just... woke up all upset for some reason," he then admitted. "I don't want make you cry."

"I love you," Allan whispered in a soft tone of voice, tangling his fingers into Tatsuya's hair.

Feeling all weak all of a sudden, Tatsuya bit his lip, some moisture in the corners of his eyes. It was like Allan's words could solve any problem in the world, and he pressed his head against the man's shoulder and never wanted to leave.

END.
