Eternal BattleBy Lady HarkenLosing wasn't an option, and winning was nearly impossible, but by the time they dropped to the ground neither of them were in any condition to care about the outcome anyway. They rarely got close enough to touch the other, but when that happened, the world went blank. Yuber mumbled something quite nasty when Pesmerga grabbed him and took him there, on the stony ground of whatever ancient ruins they were at. It didn't really matter who ended up doing what. "Quite... Chaotic," the blond demon snickered, clinging to his dark-haired partner although he really didn't want to do so. "Shut up and die," Pesmerga mumbled, reaching for his sword. He had dropped it too far away from where there lay, and then again, he was too busy to actually manage to take care of do what his words implied. It was chaotic and orderly at the same time, in the end, and they both needed it. They both came at the same time; after lying there for a short moment which at the same time felt like an eternity, they moved away from each other and grabbed their weapons, even if both were too exhausted to fight. "I really hate you, you know," Yuber hissed, grinning. Hate, love, whatever - all had been lost ages ago. Pesmerga took a weak step at the blond. "Feeling is mutual," he said, throwing his sword at the other demon, knowing it was too late. Yuber teleported away on the last moment, and the black-haired knight swore silently. It always ended like this. Such was the balance of the world.
END.
