Acquaintance

By Lady Harken

It somewhat surprised him at times to find himself there. There, in Luc's room, in the other rune bearer's bed in Northwind Castle. They were both naked, with the exception of McDohl still having his bandanna on, their bodies entangled under the blanket. Whose idea this had originally been, that McDohl couldn't remember anymore. It had just happened after Riou's group had found McDohl from Banner village. One thing had led to another, and he had ended up helping the army. While there were several of his old companions around the castle, spending his nights in the bed of one of them hadn't really been in his plans.

Here he was in any case, in Luc's room. It was a small but comfortable enough, although the bed was not really intended for two people. It was enough space if they lay close to each other, which tended to be the case when he stayed in the room. Close, warm, with the mage's body right by his own.

"...You done yet?" Luc muttered, and McDohl snapped out of his thoughts. For sex, whatever they were doing could have been described as pretty boring, if conversations were to be taken into consideration at least. Usually neither of them said a word; they just lay close to each other and took care of what they both needed in a mutual understanding. Words were unnecessary, and if one of them actually said something, it led to this awkward moment of them actually catching themselves doing something.

McDohl stared at the other man for a moment, then shook his head without saying a word before he turned his attention fully back to what they had been doing. He pressed himself against the mage, and Luc let out a muffled sound. Of pain or pleasure, McDohl didn't know and he couldn't tell, but he never asked. It wasn't like either of them cared; pain, pleasure, either of those were good for them as long as the feeling was there.

He gritted his teeth as he moved then let out a sigh as he reached his limit, and the other man clung to him for a moment, not making a sound, although McDohl figured that was it for Luc as well. He didn't really bother to check if the man finished or not. It didn't matter anyway, and there hasn't so far been a time when one of them had not been done by the time they finished. McDohl relaxed for a moment then pulled himself away from Luc and closed his eyes for a moment. It was Luc's turn to clean, and he ignored the other man as the mage got out of the bed and got some water.

McDohl didn't move or care in general what his companion was doing while Luc cleaned them both. The other man returned to bed a moment later and McDohl shifted a little, making more room for the man. He then wrapped his arms around the younger man. As indifferent as they both acted about the whole thing, they still kept each other warm during the night.

It might not have been in his plans to sleep entangled into the arms of Luc of all people, but McDohl didn't have any complaints.

END.
