Hotsprings

By Lady Harken

A nice, relaxing visit to the hot spring at Mordo Island would have been a lot more pleasant had things gone as Hervey had originally planned, but with Lucas asking if Sigurd and Helmut wanted to come too, things were a bit more complicated. All right, he couldn't consider the plan a complete failure. Lucas seemed relaxed, and considering the burden their young commander was stuck with, it was good to see him get his mind out of the battles and not worry about everything for a while. It was rare occasion to get to watch the younger man smile, Hervey realized, and suddenly the fact that Sigurd and Helmut were there, exchanging a few words quietly while enjoying the hot spring, didn't seem all that bad.

...Then again watching Lucas get all relaxed and smiling did mean Hervey really, really wished Sigurd and Helmut /weren't/ there, because the younger man looked absolutely desirable, and he wanted to hold him. Not just hold, he wanted to caress him and make him comfortable and maybe a bit more. That wasn't really possible with other people watching, not that it was a good idea to start anything here in the first place because the place wasn't exactly private.

Guess there was no way he'd get to do anything, Hervey decided, somewhat disappointed. Any sex related certainly wasn't going to happen around here, but he had at least been hoping for some quality time. Lucas unfortunately never took the hint - or all right, maybe he did. It wasn't like Hervey's "hints" were too hard to figure out since the pirate wasn't exactly the subtle type when it came to trying to tell his boyfriend what he wanted. The younger leader didn't usually seem to mind, at least.

"...Getting too hot," Helmut said suddenly, breaking the silence. Lucas didn't react, but Sigurd looked at the other man and shrugged.

"Suppose. I guess we should go." He got out of the bath, and Helmut did the same. "You staying for a bit longer, then?" Sigurd asked Hervey, who made no move to leave the bath. The younger pirate shook his head, and Sigurd nodded. "Well, watch after the leader. We're heading back."

The two of them left, and Hervey sat still for a moment, then grinned and shuffled closer to Lucas. The younger man didn't react, and the pirate stopped right next to him. "Hey, Lucas," he said. "Noticed we're alone here now? You know..."

The younger man didn't reply, but instead slipped closer to the pirate then slumped against the older man's shoulder, a content, relaxed smile on his face. It seemed that he had fallen asleep. Hervey considered waking him up, but he then decided against it.

Maybe it wasn't exactly what he had had in mind when planning for quality time, but as he reached to pet the younger man's hair, he could only smile. It was well worth it to see Lucas enjoy himself.

END.
