There was a knock on the door, and William snapped awake only to realize that he was sleeping on the sofa with clothes on and it was clearly the morning. The books and papers lying all over the place reminded him that he had been working, but surely he hadn't fallen asleep here... That was impossible.

Another knock, and then Vaclav's voice asking, "William? You in there?"

"Coming, just give me a moment..." William dragged himself up and glanced at the papers. He still had work to do, but that would have to wait right this moment. He was also hungry and couldn't remember when he had eaten the last time. Dinner probably, but when had that been again...?

He opened the door and found Vaclav standing there wearing a bathrobe. "My," he commented with a grin. "What gives me the pleasure?"

The older priest didn't appear amused. "Something is up with my bathroom and there is no water at all. Can I use yours?"

"Of course!" William took a step back and motioned for his friend to come in. He then closed the door and took yet another look at the papers lying around, still convinced that he had not fallen asleep while working. "I could take a look at it you know," he then offered, and the other man turned to look at him.

"We have maintenance staff here," Vaclav pointed out and then shook his head, smiling. "What have you been up to all night?"

William grinned. "Nothing in particular! Now then, you know where the bathroom is. I'll be right there! It appears I need a shower too, and..." The rest was something unclear as William wandered off to the bedroom to do something.

Vaclav was about to say something but ended up staring at his friend. "I'll... wait till you're done, then," he then mumbled, his cheeks gaining a slight pinkish hue.

"Nonsense," William replied as he returned with a couple of towels. "Wouldn't be the first time anyway. Come on then!" He walked off to the bathroom, dragging his friend along by the arm. He turned on the tap and started getting his clothes off. "Well, got water just fine here," he then said. "Maybe I really should check what's up with yours."

"I'll just-" Vaclav started, but that was the last thing he had time to say before William drew him closer and kissed him. A moment later they were both in the shower, naked, and he couldn't do anything about it.

Next time, he decided, he would just call William over to take a look at what was up with the water.
