The Misadventures of Soushi's Mixed-up File

Chapter 6

Rakuen was still as busy as ever, Mizoguchi learned as he entered. Half a dozen people eating, a couple - Sakura and Kenji, he noted - still waiting for their food, another two people waiting by the counter, and...

"Mr. Mizoguchi!" Maya's voice sounded happy, but somehow sharp. "You're finally back. Thank goodness, because this is one big mess."

Mizoguchi made his way to the kitchen, just to notice that, well, it was mess. Kazuki was doing his best to get food done, Maya was packing something, Akira was packing something else and setting out dishes for more food, and Canon, for some reason, was on the side cleaning a broken plate from the floor.

"We got two different take-out orders," Maya told him. "And another two delivery orders, one of which is a big one to Alvis! Come on and start helping already."

"Just give me a moment..." Mizoguchi mumbled at her, tossing his jacket and whatever else he had had with him to the side on the stairs before getting in to help Akira with... Well, whichever order this one was. "Now this is a mess indeed, and you're even dragging customers into helping..."

"Oh, don't worry about that," Maya said. "Canon insisted on helping us with that since we literally have our hands full here!" She finished whatever she had been packing. "I'll go take this order out, you just handle the rest!" With that, she left.

Ah well, not like Mizoguchi was going to talk to her about the contents of that file until later when there weren't customers around. Most important thing right now was to get all these orders taken care of; he could spend the rest of the evening teasing Maya and Kazuki.

A good fifteen minutes had passed before the Rakuen group finally made it through. The take-aways were done, and Mizoguchi had dashed off to take the Alvis order out. Akira slumped down on the stairs, relieved.

"I'm really thankful for all the help," Kazuki commented, and Akira just smiled a little and closed his eyes for a moment. "I couldn't have done this without you guys," Kazuki added. "Least I can do is get you some extra dessert for the trouble."

"Oh, no, that's not necessary..." Canon started.

"We better get that too," called Sakura's voice from the other side of the room. "Had to wait a good while to get food here!" Akira just shrugged at that, knowing Kazuki was going to agree, even though Sakura and Kenji themselves had offered to wait and had told Kazuki to take care of all the other customers first.

Something strange was up with Kenji today, though, Akira thought to himself as he stretched his arms a little. This was probably the third or fourth time Kenji was giving Kazuki this totally funny look, like there was something odd about Kazuki. Akira himself didn't think so, though; Kazuki was just being his usual self.

There were a few things lying on the stairs next to him, and Akira picked up the closest one - a scarf - and wondered why it was tossed to the side like this. It was Maya's, he recalled, but why was it here like this?

There was also a file, and he picked it up to see what it was.

"Date: 16/xx/2149," the entry currently open on the file said. "Decided to try yet another new location, in addition to experimenting on what Kazuki feels about the possibility of getting caught. The location I chose was Rakuen, which itself is nothing new, but the place there was - it was out in the open, against the kitchen counter."

The location for... what now? Akira blinked and read on. "Admitted, this was after closing time and after Kazuki had finished cleaning. We were the only ones in the shop, and I also turned off the lights before I made my move. Kazuki resisted a little, pointing out the fact that someone could see us, but he submitted easily enough and was rather eager to have me in the end."

Was this file Kazuki's? It was a little odd though, and the contents were... A light blush on his face, Akira took a quick look around to see that no one had noticed him looking at anything.

"I went for the mostly clothed approach," he read. "Only pulling Kazuki's pants down to his ankles, then I pressed him against the counter face down. To make this experiment more unusual, I grabbed a bottle of cooking oil to use as lubricant and only took care of minimal amount of preparations and foreplay before I entered him and--"

The file made a soft clunking sound as it hit the floor, and Akira gawked at it, eyes wide.

"Akira?" Kazuki's voice from the direction of the kitchen called to him, and Akira blinked then turned to stare at him with his mouth open. His eyes fixed on the kitchen counter, his face went fully bright red, and the next thing he thought about was to escape and hide before Kazuki learned what he had seen.

It was too bad he never got to that part, as Sakura was suddenly there, blocking his escape. "What are you doing, you idiot? Going through Mr. Mizoguchi's things and then dropping them?" She snapped at him, picking up the file from the floor and waving it to his face.

If Akira had ever felt like wanting to vanish into thin air, it was now.
